Targa Newfoundland

Targa Newfoundland is organized by Targa Newfoundland Motorsports Club under the leadership of Robert and Scott Giannou. It is the first and only event of its kind to be held in North America, and is an annual event that forms a 2200m long, high quality automotive adventure. It is held over a seven (7) day period in September of each year on the paved roads of the eastern and central parts of the island of Newfoundland.

Targa will arrive in Argentia on September 6 and will conduct driver training on September 7 in preparation of their first leg of their journey scheduled for Monday, September 10, 2007 at 9:10 a.m.

Targa Newfoundland runs directly in front of the public who can watch the event from selected areas at no charge. It is major entertainment for each of the communities and provides them an opportunity to stage their own events around the road race that will attract people to their area.

As Targa depart Argentia and Town of Placentia and continue on with their next leg of their journey, the Argentia Management Authority extends best wishes and congratulations to the organizing committee and their many volunteers for a successful Targa 2007. Have a safe and enjoyable journey!
