Wind Project Inc. to hold Presentation in Placentia

The Argentia Management Authority (AMA) is pleased to announce
that a presentation will be given by Wind Project Inc. (WPI) to
the general public at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, in the Town
of Placentia on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. In their
presentation, the proponents, Mr. Helge Wittholz & Mr. Frank
Weber, will provide an overview of the company, outline the existing
opportunity and the supports required to capitalize on this venture.
The forum will also seek the support from the various government
agencies, development groups and voluntary organizations regarding
the use of wind as an alternative energy source.
The general public, and local businesses who are interested in
finding out more about this exciting initiative that will involve
the installation of a wind farm near Pearce Peak in the Argentia
Backland, are welcomed and indeed, encouraged to attend the presentation.
The WPI representatives are looking forward to meeting with you,
and discussing any questions, or comments that you have concerning
the project.
Mr. Harvey Mercer, Chairperson of the AMA said, “Overall, this
development initiative matches well with the strategic priorities
of the AMA, and our vision for the development of the Argentia site
as a centre for both industrial and commercial activities within
the Town of Placentia, and the surrounding communities.”
